The Visualization of Microsoft Word 2007
Students
will first be asked to relate any previous experiences in Word to their use=
of
word in this class. They will=
be
asked to experiment with word so each student will have at least some
experience as the class gets started.

Stu=
dents
will then follow along with the instructor as they teach basic Word
concepts. This teaching will =
take
place while students are at their workstations. The teacher will be using a projec=
tor
and laptop so students are able to work along with the teacher. Teacher is able to view all student
screens through their computer to be sure students stay on task.

As the stud=
ents
begin to create their documents step by step with their workbooks they will=
have
Vodcasts available to support their need for further direction. The Vodcasts will be short and foc=
us on
individual tasks such as copy and pasting, creating a bulleted list and set=
ting
tabs for a document. The Vodc=
asts
will be accessible on their workstations.&=
nbsp;
Students will also have copies of the final document available to th=
em
so they can picture what they are working towards as they doing it.

The classro=
om is
setup so that each student has one at least one classmate, and most likely =
two classmates
next to them so they are able to ask questions as they move through their
work. Allowing the students to
explore their work together should provide the necessary outlet for their
energy. In observing the
interaction the teacher is to keep the students focused and guide the
discussion in the right direction.
It is very important for the teacher to be available to answer quest=
ions
so students do not build on any incorrect principles.

opportunity for dialogue students will be able to interact over a teacher

during class.

they will be asked to make conclusions on how they are completing the tasks
assigned to them. The major w=
ay of
assessing the students will be to have them create a document from scratch.=
The teacher will guide the learner=
but
not directly answer any questions during the completion of the test
document. The teacher will in=
stead
review the assessment with the student after it is graded and completed to
engage the learner further in areas of need.

quarter the students will be put into groups where they will present the
concepts they have learned through their work in that quarter. The students will be in effect tea=

the other students those concepts over to reinforce the material for use as=
